Co-living brand Coliwoo launches new mixed-use project at Old Bukit Timah Fire Station
General resident facilities include a neighborhood garden, a co-working area, a lounge and an outside area. Coliwoo also prepares to organise frequent member-exclusive events at the new location that are going to be available to all homeowners in its organization.
“Beyond producing a place to stay, our vision is to build a sustainable and vibrant community where people can gather, grow and experience a new means of conscious living that’s rooted in intent and attached to nature,” adds Lim.
Homegrown co-living label Coliwoo, a branch of real estate management services group LHN, is set to open its latest property next month at the location of the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station, situated at 260 Upper Bukit Timah Road.
The co-living dwelling comprises three ensuite room types with single-, twin-, and queen-studios. Each unit includes in-room features like a completely equipped kitchen space and a washer-cum-dryer. Interiors are styled in warm, nature-inspired moods with botanical motifs, showing the location’s close proximity to green spaces like the 24km Rail Corridor, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Singapore’s 36km Coast-to-Coast Central Trail.
Coliwoo says the typical monthly rental rate starts from $3,500, and the serviced condo has a minimum stay of six evenings.
Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station will also be a lifestyle spot near the Rail Corridor, and the local access factor is around Hindhede Walk. The spot will also be pet-friendly with numerous child-friendly areas. The co-living operator will host public functions such as craftsmen local market and sessions, going well with a renter mix that includes urban farming, beer making, a swimming program and experiential sellers. Confirmed renters include ST. Ali by Surrey Hills Group and aquaDucks, a swim academy.
“Leveraging our core strengths in spot optimisation and structure reconstruction, we have actually reimagined the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station right into an one-of-a-kind destination that effortlessly integrates co-living, lifestyle and neighborhood into a holistic ecosystem,” says Kelvin Lim, exec chairman of LHN and creator of Coliwoo.
The State-owned heritage real estate has been shifted as a mixed-use development with a 62-unit co-living household by Coliwoo, a café and restaurant, and also community event areas. It is located near Hume MRT Station on the Downtown Line.
